    About Edward De Bono
Edward De Bono is regarded by many to be the leading authority in the world in the field of creative thinking and the direct teaching of thinking as a skill. He is the originator of "Lateral Thinking" "which has an official entry in the Oxford English Dictionary, and the extremely popular "Six Thinking Hats" concept. Lateral Thinking as a concept, deals with changing concepts and perceptions which treats creativity as the behaviour of information in a self-organising information system - such as the neural networks in the brain. From such a consideration arise the deliberate and formal tools of lateral thinking, parallel thinking etc.

Edward De Bono - The Author
Dr. De Bono has written 82 books with translations into 41 languages.
He is also the creator of the very popular "Six Thinking Hats" process, revolutionising the way we organize and communicate our thinking. These formal techniques can be used deliberately in order to generate new ideas and concepts.

In his book "Mechanism of the Mind" (1969) Dr. De Bono first described how the nerve networks in the brain behave as a self organizing system. Although Dr. De Bono's methods are based on a technical understanding of the brain, his methods are very simple and practical. "Powerful simplicity" is the key.

Edward De Bono - The Speaker
There are over 4,000,000 references to his work on the Internet. A planet has been named after him by the official International Astronomical Union. A group of South African university professors included Dr. De Bono in a list of 250 most influential people in the history of humanity. He has lectured in more than 60 countries. He has chaired a special meeting of the Nobel Prize laureates, and has addressed such meetings as the World Economic Forum (Davos) American Bar Association, and the Commonwealth Law Conference, to name a few.
